Support challenges

When your park home was first sited, the supports were positioned ideally to meet all of its demands.

However, internal changes that have been made to your home will have affected the effectiveness of this initial support. Changing trends have seen the emergence of heavier materials being used in manufacturing processes for modern homes such as stainless steel fixtures, granite countertops, wooden furniture, double glazing and more.

There is no guarantee that these heavier materials will be able to hold up against their own weight load without failure- which is why it’s better to be safe than sorry.

Mild, steel supports are also more likely to be prone to rust and decay- therefore being susceptible to corrosion and damage.

What are the other tell-tale signs?

If you notice that your floor is creaking or bouncy, and doors are not closing properly then it’s possible the supports have become loose. This can be caused by corrosion of bolts which will need adjusting for an even alignment!
