The Full Works with Mavis

Mavis first got in touch with PHCS as she had a voucher from the Green Homes Grant Scheme (a government backed scheme to provide homes with energy efficient measures). Unfortunately, the company who quoted originally could not commit to carry out the work. Mavis was over the moon to hear that we could provide her with a quote for the work and get the ball moving again with the voucher.

PHCS carry out an in-depth survey for every job, so in went our surveyor! He found that the chassis had started to corrode and had been deteriorating for some time. In addition, there was inadequate support under the home. Once our surveyor had completed the survey, he explained the findings to Mavis. She was shocked to find out that this had been a problem but on reflection she understood, as she had not had a survey done in such a long time. She gave us the go ahead with the repair works of the chassis and had new galvanised axle stands installed to her property, giving her peace of mind for years to come. Mavis also agreed to a quotation for the SnuggerFLOOR+ and re-applied for her voucher through PHCS.

Soon the work underneath Mavis’s park home began. The chassis had developed a lot of corrosion over the years, so the team on site started by sanding down the chassis to remove any loose rust. Then, the team set up the compressors so they could start to spray on the rust inhibitor paint to the sanded down metal work and give some life back to the chassis. Once the chassis was completed, the team installed the galvanised axle stands giving the home much needed strength, stability and support.

When the voucher had been issued by the Green Homes Grant Voucher Scheme, we started on the SnuggerFLOOR+. Our team again, went under the home and made sure that every inch of the floor had a new layer of insulation attached, to ensure its optimum performance.
